Favorite Baby Products: 0-2 Months

Aloha, mamas…or dads! Today I’m sharing some of my favorite baby products that I’ve been using and have loved for baby’s first two months. I like to stick to the basics, nothing too fancy. I really want to share the things that I think are worth spending your money on and a couple that you don’t necessarily need, but are awesome. So let’s get to it!

Nasal Aspirator

At first this little gadget kinda creeped me out and, quite honestly, I thought it was gross. But then I had my daughter and well, nothing really seems gross anymore! This little nose sucker is amazing! It really gets those little boogies out. You can see that it’s actually working versus the little nose bulb syringes that you can’t really see through and are hard to clean. This one is easy peasy! You can find it by clicking here.

Car seat Stroller Combo

I highly recommend some sort of car seat stroller combo. It makes life so much easier! If you don’t know what I’m talking about, it’s a car seat that you can plop right from the car onto the stroller. You can click here to see the one that I used with my first and am now using it for our second little babe. We got it 2 years ago and are still using it! I really like this one because you’re able to remove the actual seat part of the stroller if you don’t plan to use it right away which makes for more storage space on the bottom! I also like that it comes with a car seat base so that you don’t have to struggle with buckling up the car seat every time you put baby in the car. It folds up so easy that you can do it with one hand! The less struggle the better! Am I right?

Baby Monitor: Owlet Smart Sock

Now this is not a necessary item, however, it’s one of my all time favorite items that I’d recommend to every parent. It’s a little “sock” that you wrap around baby’s foot and it monitors their heart rate and oxygen intake and will notify you if their levels are too high or low. My experience with this monitor has been amazing. I absolutely love it! It definitely helps you sleep a little easier knowing that your baby’s vitals are being monitored, just like at the hospital. I have heard a few people complain about “false alarms” but I’ve never experienced any, and to be honest, I’d rather have a false alarm than no alarm at all.  Although this is a pricey item, I definitely think it’s worth the investment. Plus, they offer different types of payment plans which I think is awesome. The company really wants to make it attainable for all budgets. You can check out their website here for all their payment plans/options.

Baby Wrap

Baby Carriers are so helpful! Sometimes baby just wants to be held and when you have things to do, this little carrier becomes your best friend. I love this style wrap over the other carriers for the first couple months because it helps support baby’s head. Other carriers like the ergo baby are great for the later months once baby has good neck control. Another thing to take into consideration when buying a wrap is what season you’ll be using it in the most. Living in Hawaii and having both my daughters around the summer time really made me realize that. Some wraps are thick and will make you super sweaty. This is the one I’m using now and it’s pretty thin, which is great for me and baby. I definitely recommend this one for all my summer mamas.

*Make sure you follow the instructions on the package, if used incorrectly it can cause suffocation. Always keep baby within kissable range and check often. Click here to snag one!

Baby Bouncer

I love this little bouncer. It cradles baby and bounces automatically, so you’re not stuck bouncing it yourself. Perfect for when you need a break, or need to chase a toddler around! It also has a few lullabies too! And guess what? It’s on clearance! You’re welcome! Click here to check it out.

Zip-Up Swaddles

These little zip-up swaddles were extremely helpful. Somehow those little babies can sneak their arms out of the regular swaddles or you can’t seem to figure out the whole swaddling thing. These make it so much easier and keep little baby snuggled without all the fuss of regular swaddling. Plus, it’s great for the summer heat with just one layer of fabric rather than being wrapped in a blanket. You can find them here.

Bassinet

Bassinet

I really love having a bassinet that I can keep right next to the bed. The one pictured above isn’t the one we’re using, but it’s pretty similar and one we were considering. We didn’t get it because my mom ended up buying one for us. What I love about this style bassinet is that it has wheels which makes it super easy to move around the house. We used a bassinet for our first for about 3-4 months or until she could roll over, then we moved her into a crib in her own room. Click here to check this one out.

Eve | 2 Months

That’s my round up of some of my favorite baby products for the first two months! I hope you enjoyed and found some great products to help you through the first couple months.

And remember, just because someone else has all this cool baby gear, don’t let yourself fall into that “Keeping Up With The Joneses” mindset. I know when we were shopping for all the baby gear it was easy to want to get certain products because “everybody else” had them or they were the cutest ones. But sometimes you’re on a budget and you have to get the off brand product that may not be as cute or cool, but it’s the better decision for your family.

Let me know in the comments if you love any of these products as much as I do, or what your favorites are!
